FAQ — TeamDML

Question 1

What is TeamDML?

Accepted Answer

TeamDML is an independent contractor support organization (CSO) operating under the Arise® Platform. We recruit, onboard, and support agents who want to work from home providing customer service for major brands. We are a subsidiary of Dispatch My Load LLC.

Question 2

What is the Arise® Platform?

Accepted Answer

Arise® is a technology platform that connects independent contractor agents with Fortune 500 and other well-known companies that need remote customer service support. Arise does not employ agents directly — instead, agents work through CSOs like TeamDML.

Question 3

Am I an employee or an independent contractor?

Accepted Answer

You are an independent contractor, not an employee of TeamDML or Arise®. This means you set your own schedule, work from your own home office, and are responsible for your own taxes. You are running your own small business.

Question 4

What states are eligible?

Accepted Answer

The Arise® Platform is available in most U.S. states. Eligibility can vary by client program. During the application process, we will confirm whether your state qualifies for the opportunities you are interested in.

Question 5

Is this a scam?

Accepted Answer

No. TeamDML is a legitimate business operating under the Arise® Platform, which has been in operation since 1994 and works with hundreds of Fortune 500 companies. We are transparent about all fees and requirements upfront. We encourage you to research Arise® independently and reach out with any questions.

Question 6

What fees are involved?

Accepted Answer

There are two main fees: (1) A one-time background check fee paid directly to Arise® during enrollment, typically around $9–$25. (2) A monthly service fee paid to TeamDML, which covers your CSO membership, ongoing support, and access to client programs. The exact amount is disclosed during orientation.

Question 7

Why is there a monthly fee?

Accepted Answer

The monthly fee covers your CSO membership with TeamDML, which gives you access to client programs on the Arise® Platform, ongoing agent support, scheduling assistance, and performance coaching. Think of it as the cost of running your independent contractor business through our organization.

Question 8

Are there any hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No. We disclose all fees during orientation before you commit to anything. The only fees are the Arise® background check (paid once, directly to Arise®) and the TeamDML monthly service fee. There are no training fees, equipment rental fees, or surprise charges.

Question 9

How and when do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Arise® processes payments to agents on a bi-weekly basis via direct deposit. Your earnings are based on the hours you service and the client program's pay rate. Pay rates vary by client and are disclosed before you commit to a program.

Question 10

Can I make enough to cover the monthly fee?

Accepted Answer

Yes — agents who service consistently typically earn well above the monthly fee. The fee is a small fixed cost relative to the hourly rates available. That said, your income depends on the hours you commit and the client program you choose.

Question 11

What equipment do I need?

Accepted Answer

You will need: a Windows PC (most Macs are not compatible), a wired broadband internet connection (Wi-Fi is not permitted for most programs), a USB or corded headset with a microphone, and a quiet private workspace free from background noise.

Question 12

Can I use a Mac?

Accepted Answer

Most client programs on the Arise® Platform require a Windows-based PC. Mac computers are generally not compatible. If you only have a Mac, we recommend checking with us before applying, as compatibility varies by program.

Question 13

Why must I use a wired internet connection?

Accepted Answer

Client programs require a stable, low-latency connection to handle customer calls and data systems. Wi-Fi connections introduce variability that can cause dropped calls and compliance issues. A wired Ethernet connection is required for most programs.

Question 14

Do I need a dedicated phone line?

Accepted Answer

No. Most programs use Voice over IP (VoIP) through your computer and headset. You do not need a separate phone line. Your wired internet connection handles all voice traffic.

Question 15

How does scheduling work?

Accepted Answer

You choose your own hours by selecting available time slots through the Arise® scheduling system. Slots are released in advance and you pick the ones that fit your life. There are minimum hour commitments per program — typically 15–20 hours per week — but you control when those hours fall.

Question 16

Can I work part-time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many agents work part-time. Most programs have a minimum weekly hour commitment (often 15–20 hours), but you are free to schedule more if you want. Part-time work is a great way to start and scale up as you get comfortable.

Question 17

What kind of work will I be doing?

Accepted Answer

Most programs involve inbound customer service — answering calls or chats from customers of well-known brands. This can include billing inquiries, technical support, order status, and general account assistance. Specific duties depend on the client program you choose.

Question 18

Do I need prior customer service experience?

Accepted Answer

No prior experience is required for most programs. Each client program includes paid certification training that prepares you for the role. A positive attitude, clear communication, and reliable availability matter more than a resume.

Question 19

What happens after I apply?

Accepted Answer

After submitting your application, a TeamDML team member will reach out within 1–2 business days to schedule your orientation. Orientation covers the platform, available programs, fees, and next steps. There is no obligation to continue after orientation.

Question 20

Is training paid?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Client certification training is paid at a set rate per hour. You will complete training online from home before you begin servicing customers. Training length varies by program, typically ranging from one to three weeks.

Question 21

How long does it take to get started?

Accepted Answer

From application to your first day of training, the process typically takes two to four weeks. This includes orientation, background check processing, program selection, and certification training scheduling.

Question 22

What support does TeamDML provide?

Accepted Answer

TeamDML provides ongoing support throughout your time with us — including help with scheduling, performance questions, program changes, and general guidance. You are an independent contractor, but you are not on your own. We are here to help you succeed.
